What is A Special Need for Music?

What started as a lesson with one child evolved to a weekly class with a performance group for students with special needs. We developed a teaching method to include students of all learning abilities. Learn how to share music with students with special needs through our book, presentations, and online lesson program.

About Our Programs

Development

After having lessons with a child with special needs who wanted to be in music class, it became clear there was a need to share music with students with special needs. We needed something new that was not a band or a choir but would allow the students to actively create music.

Everyone benefits!

Over time, a teaching method was developed to include students of all learning abilities, and our lessons evolved into weekly meetings with a class of students. Now students with special needs can learn, practice, and perform music in a group just like everyone else. This method has successfully been used with students and adults with disabilities.
